The Shankbone is a quarterly production and is one of the perks of membership. Here is a sample of what you will find. Eventually, we will be archiving previous versions of the Shankbone as many of them contain vast information on Scottish bakery, clan society events and news, and historically related articles on the clan. Summing Up 2008 By Ron Webberson 2008 was a busy year for the Society. Our MacKinnon Gathering and General Membership Meeting were fantastic. It was a great joy to spend time in person with all that I have corresponded with over the years. Also, my never ending THANKS to Jim & Myra Kelly and Trish Hutchens for their gracious hospitality. You all did so much to make it a very memorable time for all. As you are aware we were able to award two more scholarships this year. The scholarships are a very important part of our Society as that we are supporting our heritage through them. We now have a new Board of Directors: George Curtis, Chairman, and Board Members: Jim Bennett, Catherine Hester, Kay LaRue, and John MacKinnon. I would like to thank them for their service to the Society. Last, but certainly not least, the Society is now incorporated. So we are now officially titled Clan MacKinnon Society, Inc. As we move into 2009, I would like to stress how important Scottish Games & Gatherings are. We are all aware that our MacKinnon descendents are spread out all over so it is difficult to get together and enjoy our fine Scottish Heritage. But by supporting the Tents at the various Scottish Games and Gatherings, it gives us the chance to do just that. So get out there and enjoy the 2009 season of events and we hope to see you there.

Summing Up 2008

2008 was a busy year for the Society. Our MacKinnon Gathering and General Membership Meeting were fantastic.
